Selecting Replacement Filaments for SEM

Replacement filaments are instrument-specific and should be selected according to the SEM manufacturer, microscope model and filament configuration. The range includes filaments for ZEISS/LEO, Hitachi, JEOL, TESCAN, FEI and Cambridge electron microscopes.

Filament geometry, wire diameter and operating specifications can vary between microscope models. When replacing an SEM filament, the instrument model and existing filament specification should therefore be verified before ordering.

The SEM manufacturer, microscope model and existing filament specification should be checked when selecting a replacement. If the required filament cannot be identified, please contact us with the instrument model.

Are SEM filaments interchangeable between microscope models?

Not necessarily. Filament geometry, wire diameter and other specifications can differ between manufacturers and microscope models.

Can you supply SEM filaments that are not listed in the webshop?
